I grew up country-bred in the south west of Germany. As teenager I was soon attracted by motorcycles, as this was at the time the only way to extend my sphere. And it was exciting as well. There is no better way to escape than on motorcycle, at least not at that price.
Later in life I discovered that there is more than just riding for instantaneous fun. Traveling on a motorcycle means that you are part of the environment, no matter if it rains, snows or if the sun is shining. The real world is never excluded like in cars and you are on a par with your encounters. Even if riding in 3rd world countries you will find someone to help you. Riding does not transport you to a destination, it is the destination.
Today I am living in the major European destination for riders, the Alps. No matter which riding style you are preferring, it is one of the most amazing places to practice it – every day. My average mileage on motorcycles is betwee 30-40.000 kms per year.
The bikes that I am currently riding:
- KTM 1190 Adventure
Buell XB12 Ducati Scrambler
- KTM 690 Adventure
KTM 125 GS
